O'Connor makes paper by hand using oriental and local plant fibre to create installations, assemblage, sculpture and 2D artwork. She connects with the place of her environment through its plant life looking for metaphoric or symbolic links. Through the practice of hand papermaking O'Connor feels she is physically connecting with its 2000 year history for the method has remained relatively unchanged.
